What’s in My Bag? NYC to LA

When it comes to packing, I love to compartmentalize my bags. “What’s in my bag” depends on the type of trip.  Last week we took a long weekend trip to the West Coast to attend a friend’s wedding and tour three colleges with my brother. I am also in the middle of a big project so I packed my bag with all of this in mind.

  1. Samsung Galaxy Note *ahem*4*ahem – Don’t judge me.
  2. Olympus OMD EM-5 & M.Zukio 25mm f1.8 lens – I don’t keep this in a case because I like to be ready for a shot at anytime. I keep a wrist strap on it so that it’s easy to carry around.
  3. Camera Accessories – What I love about the mirrorless camera system is that it’s so compact.  This allows me to carry additional camera accessories with me and still have space for a crap load of stuff in my bag
  4. Toiletries – Girly basics
  5. Small Backpack – Backpacks are my thang now-a-days. It all started when picking out a diaper bag.  Hands-free is the way to go!
  6. Zapp iPad Case – I use the keyboard when I’m on the plane but I also packed this in case I needed to work while I was out and about in LA and San Francisco.
  7. Ray Ban Case – Always keeps your sunnies protected
  8. Frends Case – I don’t think I can ever go back to headphones that don’t fold. We’ll see.

Let’s take a deeper dive into what’s in each smaller bag.

  1. Textured and patterned makeup bag from H&M
  2. Samsung Galaxy Note
  3. Studded and Quilted clutch from some random store in Australia
  4. Olympus OMD EM-5 Mark II
  5. M.Zukio 45mm f1.8 lens (Prime, telephoto lens. 90mm full-frame equivalent)
  6. Olympus flash
  7. M.Zukio 14-42mm f2.8 lens
  8. Extra charged battery
  9. Ray-Ban Erika Sunglasses with gold frame
  10. Target Faux Leather backpack from Target
  11. Kate Spade Tech Clutch
  12. IPad Pro
  13. Friends Taylor Headphones
  14. Basics: Tissues, Hand Sanitizer, allergy pills, and Altoids
  15. MAC Pink Lemonade Lip Glass & Urban Decay Nude Lippie
  16. NOT PICTURED:  MyCharge mobile charger with iPhone and Android connections

…. and that’s all!
